<p><span class="cm">The Asia Insurance Directory is a comprehensive listing
of insurance companies, insurers, associations, brokers, agents, independent
adjusters, marine surveyors and other organizations in countries throughout
the world.</span></p>
<p><span class="cm">As a nonprofit site, companies, associations, claims
adjusters and general services groups are invited to list their company
or organization — <span class="cm_italic">free</span> — on what
is soon to become the definitive site of insurance links and resources
worldwide.</span></p>

<p><span class="cm">The Asia Insurance Directory has its origins in the
contact list of one of our own independent loss adjusters. As the list
grew in size,a decision was made to transfer the information, first to
a database on a single workstation, and then to an intranet. Others, however,
soon wanted access to this same information while in the field, and to
accommodate their needs, the database was moved to an extranet.<br>
Later, a user-friendly interface, along with an administrative panel,
was built to facilitate the input of new information, as well as the editing
of existing data.</span></p>
