Adjusters Asia is a multinational team of independent insurance adjusters, marine and cargo surveyors, risk consultants, construction project managers, engineers and insurance technology professionals.

The company began with an idea conceived by Mr. Paul Brown, a leading Canadian loss adjuster and the former owner of a multi-office insurance adjusting firm in Western Canada. On one of Mr. Brown's many trips to Asia, he was introduced to Mr. Patinya Chawengwat, an individual widely acclaimed for his expertise in open source software development.

With their shared interest in open source technology, the two struck up an immediate friendship, later collaborating on the development of advanced, web-based technology for the loss-adjusting industry.

After 2 years of development, the project was finally completed, and within weeks of its release was hailed as the new benchmark in claims-management technology.

Adjusters Asia was born.

Why adjust insurance claims in Asia?

Simple. In borrowing a phrase from one of our many esteemed colleagues — this one a Canadian — "Independent adjusting is more than a career — it's a lifestyle.'"

At Adjusters Asia, we share the belief that independent claims adjusting is, indeed, a lifestyle, and that any new challenge — large or small — creates a greater enthusiasm for our profession.

Asia, with its many diverse cultures, people, languages, landscapes and seascapes not only offers such challenges, but injects them with a heightened — and much welcomed — sense of adventure.

From damaged mining equipment in the remote jungles of Borneo, to an oil rig fire on the windswept plains of Kazakhstan, there is, quite simply, no other place in the world like Asia and no better place for an independent adjuster to become a true professional.
